I fucking love this. You keep saying this like the guy was being interviewed and he made that statement, and then Weiss walked in the interview and punched the guy.
Don’t get me wrong, I wish Weiss was banned forever from the sport, all dopers should, but let’s not fucking pretend we are stupid; the dude was harassing someone, he wasn’t simply making “Statements of fact”, he was harassing someone. Did he deserve to be punched? No, I’m not a fan of physical violence, but I understand why he was punched. Weiss is doing his job, and I wouldn’t like it if some rando walked into my office and started yelling at me.
There are no witnesses to the punch, so it’s a he-said-he-said situation, what we do know, from both of them, is that the AGer was yelling shit at Weiss.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Don’t yell at people if you are not ready for them to have some kind of response.

Fact: It is against the law to punch people unless it is self defense (in most places).
The age grouper can yell whatever he wants (freedom of speech and all that jazz) and yes Weiss can take appropriate action that is legally allowed. Like suing him for defamation or whatever (yeah good luck with that).

Freedom of speech doesn’t mean “free from consequences”. At least in the US, it just means that the government will not prosecute you or forbid you from expressing your opinion. This was in Prague, I have no idea how “Free Speech Laws” are in Prague.
Except that most of us in society have agreed that violence is not an appropriate response when someone might be hurting your feelings a little bit. Notwithstanding some of the Neanderthals here. Like I said, an appropriate response is to either engage him verbally, or sue him.
I agree with you, I wouldn’t have punched him either. What I’m “complaining” about is this stupid game some of the people here are playing, where we are trying to pretend this dude was just “talking to himself, stating facts”, as if he were running around Challenge Prague chanting about dopers, and just then, Weiss happened to go by and decided to punch him.
Punching and yelling at other people is poor sportsmanship and shouldn’t be allowed. If the AGer yelled at Weiss, he should be DQed, and if Weiss punched him back, he should be DQed and possibly sued.
