Cheap lamb skin ploy by the conservative party.
Sure, after all, how could a black guy espouse Republican ideals? Of course there is the fact that two of the top four vote getters were African American. Does the Rep perfidity know no bounds?
I am sure that Michael Steele(may as well spell his name correctly) doesn’t think it’s a “cheap lambskin ploy”. Give the guy a shot to do what they’ve hired him for. What is so wrong with hiring a black man to represent the Republican Party? Doesn’t it show an open mindedness that WE ALL want to see in America?
He certainly can’t do any worse than the last guy Republican Chairman. Jeesh…Obama won inspite of the fact that Howard Dean was the Dem Chairman…YAAEEEEEIIIIIIIAAAAA!!!
Some of my closest friends are African Americans and are also Republicans…I will ask what they think of the idea.
The GOP is going to lose their christian nut and skin head coalition over this one. What’s next, a muslim GOP member?
I find Michael Steele to be clean and articulate. lol He’s really a pretty quick guy, does not seem like a hard partisan, but is pretty conservative…not easy to pull off.
Why do you hate black people?
Many conservatives didn’t vote for Obama because he is black. Not merely because he is liberal. This is well documented.
So why do conservatives hate blacks? Even republicans living in trailer parks hate blacks.
There is no denying this.

So very true. And, as everyone knows, there is no such thing as a Dem racist.
People in MD dislike him for his GOP values. There’s a reason he didn’t win the Gubernatorial election.
You need to see some of his pathetic Gubernatorial ads…
I hope he does a good job leading the GOP back to sanity. I doubt he’ll be able to though, both parties seem to have gone past the edge.
Never envisioned the day when a half black guy would be the President and a black guy would be the GOP chairman. Hopefully they are both competent and we get some good results.
This is suppose to bring conservatives together and expand the party?
“It’s time for something completely different, and we’re going to bring it to them,” Mr. Steele said. “We’re going to bring this party to every corner, to every boardroom, to every neighborhood, to every community. And we’re going to say to friend and foe alike: ‘We want you to be a part of us. We want you to be with us, and for those of you who are going to obstruct, get ready to be knocked over.’
They would have been much better off had they picked Clinton.

This is the single largest turd ever discovered in one piece.
How funny.

Dude, you are such a moron. Everybody knows all republicans are rich and wouldn’t be caught dead in a trailer park.
There goes the Joe 6-Pack vote.
There goes the neighborhood…
Seriously though, my cynical side tends to agree with you, but I won’t pretend to know the full scope and measure of the candidate’s credentials, or the reasons for which he was elected. I sincerely hope he’s able to pull together a stronger party with a coherent message and worthwhile candidates, and turns the page on the Bush-Rove (-McCain-Palin) era of divisive politics.
Both parties now led by African Americans. That’s something.
His middle name is Abdul and he wasn’t born in America.
And we know there are no racist liberals, er progressives and that the Democratic party has NEVER resorted to hate politics. Right? Amazing.
Funny how the left sees the color of the new GOP Chairman while the party who elected him see him as the future.

What’s amazing is that you would draw that conclusion from my post. Of course both parties are guilty of divide-and-conquer tactics at one point or another, but there’s little argument as to how the GOP power structure gained and retained (or attempted to retain) control over the last decade or so, under the tutelage of turd blossom and his underlings. McCain/Palin’s defeat was in no small part a popular rejection of those overt tactics; in contrast to the message Obama’s campaign was selling, it just didn’t measure up.
Funny how the left sees the color of the new GOP Chairman while the party who elected him see him as the future.
And I suppose the GOP shot-callers didn’t see Palin’s sex when they pushed her for Vice President either, right? I’m not saying either Steele’s race or Palin’s sex was the determining factor, but it certainly adds a nice shine to the party’s exterior. Identity clearly plays a part, as it probably should at this point in our history, speaking strictly from a marketing perspective.
I assume you’re assigning me to The Left with that comment. How so? Because I supported President Obama’s election campaign - along with a sizeable majority of American voters?
Remind me…
First Black Sec of State?
First Black Justice of Supreme Court?
First Black Sec Education?
President of US during Civil War?
First black senator?
Martin Luther King & Fredrick Douglas were a registered…?
Just shout out the answers?
Who was the first black justice of the Supreme Court?

let’s not get carried away, what did Obama get 54%, a better win than recent elections, but we’re still working with a pretty divided electorate.
