Michael Moore Humor (Payback for his mosaic, apparently ;-)

This one is entitled “Hog On Ice”

Look closely at the individual photos and tell me what you see. And no, it’s not me on any given day ;-)) Infan-Tile “I got your mosaic, Mikey boy”

What a mature way to display a dissenting opinion.

I think slowguy made out the individual mosaics

They’re just paying back Moore for his portrait of Dubya that used photos of each of the American servicemembers killed in Iraq. Whether it’s mature or not, I don’t think they care.

K

Wow, I’m going to pretend you didn’t just justify equating the faces of soldiers who died in Iraq to pictures of someone’s butthole, and claim tit-for-tat.

I’m not equating anything. I’m just showing you what another group of fellows think of Michael Moore and what HE did to the photos of those servicemembers. The gluteals are supposed to represent M.M., apparently.

I think the photos should be “hands off”. By both sides.

“Also Moore is an asshole”

Well argued.

The problem with Moore is that he presents a very very slanted view as a “Documentary.” He distorts facts and weaves stories to further his point. There are a bunch of websites that will point out all the distortions in Bowling for Columbine so I won’t get into it here.

Moore has a right to say what he wants just don’t bend the facts and distort the truth and present it as a documentary.

JW

You won’t find me arguing that Moore is a good documentary filmmaker, or that what he put on screen was true. However, I do think there’s a different level of maturity in a collage that makes a political statement about the President’s role in the deaths of our soldeirs than there is in a collage that basically calls Moore an ass-face.

The artistic problem is that the picture of his face isn’t really made from the individual butt shots. It’s all the same ass shot colored differently.

I think it’s a tasteless cheap shot, but I feel it’s actually in better taste than to use the faces of dead servicemen to make a cheap politcal point.

If people would keep in mind that Moore is a polemicist, not a journalist or true documentarian, they wouldn’t get nearly as mad as they do about him. I find his stuff entertaining, but not intellectually deep or noteworthy.

He’s like the left’s demented version of Sergei Eisenstein or Leni Riefenstiehl, if you ask me. He tells people with a certain ideological belief what they want to hear, same as Pat Buchanan and his types might tell those on the hard right.

Right now, I admit that I’m center to center-right. But I can be swayed by a case of Powerbars and a new Quintana Roo, if someone’s interested in having me expound for their cause (hint, hint

Personally, I think getting as mad as many people do on this forum toward Moore gives him more legitimacy than he really deserves.

He also didn’t create the mosaic…
