Just about anything on the Gulf Coast with a few exceptions will be a beach start into the Gulf…except for that wimpy St Anthony’s that goes for the Bay. 
I think you would really like the Hurricane Man 2.4 mile OWS straight down the beach (first Saturday in May). You have 2 turn buoys…swim out 50 yards…turn left…head south for about 2.3 miles…find the second buoy…turn left.
