WOW- there were some CRAZY FAST bike splits posted for the HIM- Any thoughts??? what did you see, hear, bike computer distance say??? do tell-
The answer to your question is… light crosswind in most sections. As opposed to last year’s windfest
Peace
Can you say FLAT? I live near Chicago, and the Miami Man bike course was flatter than the flattest part of Illinois (near Champaign-Urbana).
I mean the only hills were speed bumps (or as they call them down here, “Speed Humps”).
I think the course was short a mile or so, too, but am out of town and can’t download my SRM data.
I won my AG, 50-54, even though I had a crappy run. But hey, hardware is hardware!
Yeap, we lucked out this year with the wind. Course if 100% flat so the only variable preventing fast times is the wind, that sometimes can slow you down to a crawl, specially on those unprotected farm sections. Congrats on your placing

Until proven otherwise, your coach thinks you biked too hard
.
Well, yes, I know that is a true statement.
But I have some other hypotheses in my race report, which is here: http://crackheadfe.blogspot.com
