Pretty much says it all.
May we never, ever forget.

This definitely needs a bump.
Extremely moving

Did you guys see the last 20 minutes of CBS - 60 Minutes. Finally a network with balls. They showed the photographs of all 800+ soldiers killed in Iraq scrolling across the secreen for 11 minutes straight. I emailed them thanking them for having the guts to do it in the world of right wing media control we live in today ( oh no, we can’t show any coffins coming off airplanes, that might make the public angry).
Thanks to everyone who has served or is serving in our armed forces. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be paid back in a form fitting the task.

I take great pride in the fact that our nation celebrates those who have fought for our way of life.
Never has this meant more to me than after my grandfather’s passing this last December. He was a brave man and I proudly celebrate Memorial Day and thank everyone in the armed services and beyond.
Thank You
The post I live at here in Korea is the Heaquarters of the 2nd Infantry Division. At the Division Museum I ran into two Korean War Vets who are here on a tour re-living old memories. I spent two hours talking to them about the war and the Chosin campaign in particular. Nothing but respect for those guys.
