Meet Bob Parr

I’ve changed my user name to reflect my current mood. Like Bob, I feel stuck at a desk job when I should be out doing something incredible!

Be kind,

Gar

Hi bob.

Ah, Gar, but if you were in Orlando, you could be sitting at your desk dreaming about the super-fly Wednesday night Windermere ride, preparing the body and mind for the nasty gut-wrenching hammfest!

Thanks again for the heads up on that ride. I had a lot of fun (If you describe fun as your lungs bursting thru the chest cavity!) Those dudes could hammer. I would like to try that again sometime with a little faster weapon. All told, it was by far the best part of my trip to Orlando, just don’t tell The Mouse.

Gar

The Orlando cycling scene has gotten pretty freaking huge. There are two Wednesday night rides that are pure hammerfests, one in Windermere that has the hills and winds, and another on the east side of town that is flat and fast. The average paced last wed. at windermere was over 25 clocked. Tuesday night is a new ride out by the airport, Thursday is the 'ole recovery ride. The weekends are huge. Any given Saturday you can join 5-6 different group rides, the Errol Estates ride being the fastest of the fast. Any one of these rides hurt more than the Jacksonville Road Race that I did two weeks ago. Funny that a joy ride hurts more than a race. Yes, bring the weapon next time!
