This is probably a dumb question, but is there a trick or an easy way to slide the brake pad in/out of a Campy brake pad holder? Maybe my thumbs are just weak, but my pads sure aren’t just sliding out like the picture in the instructions…
If they are really stuck I sometimes uses pliers to yank them out. Who cares if you damage them if you are replacing them anyway.
the first time was a royal pain in the butt when I had to change Linda’s. Ended up having to take the bracket off and then use a screw driver to push the pad out far enough to use a pair of pliers. I hope its going to be easier the next time.
try pushing a flat-blade screw driver against the back of the pad and tap the end of the handle with a hammer. Just be sure to have a rag to protect the frame from the screw driver / hammer. Little taps. Tappa, tappa, tappa.
