I’ve just finished watching the IM Wisconsin race from 2008 and noticed that Jason Shortis had trouble with his rear wheel (I think he flatted) and they showed him getting a new wheel during the race. I always thought that you couldn’t get any outside assistance esp. stuff like brand new wheels. Can anyone confirm? perhaps it is a “pro” rule. Thanks

I believe those are the “rules” as I understand them. I think their is a grey area that is sometimes entered into as well.
