Not sure where you are going with this one. The full article said that she had been in theis country for a while, and apparently under legal conditions. The process of getting a green card was taking longer than expected and she was nearing a deadline. Supposedly, she panicked somewhat and dealt with someone who was on the shady side, resulting in the unintended amnesty application.

What wasn’t clear was when she married the politician, and how that affects her status. At 28, I would also think that most of her schooling is done.

Serves her right. She should be kicked out. She is supposed to sneak across the border like everyone else.

Apparently she is not too bright, kind of like Francois.

I don’t know how else to say it, Francois. You get an education. You read and write in several languages. Then you come here and comply with our immigration requirements, sit in the immigration queue, pay our various fees and obey our laws just like a total moron.

You seem like a nice enough guy, but what can I say?
