Thanks to all who have been trying to help out with my shifter. Maxine Irving came to my rescue in a very quick fashion.
Maxine Irving from Profile has sent me not one, not two, not three, but four shift rings. Two are C-9, two are C-8, but I think I could probably make them work when the need comes around.
Profile has provided me with many things over the years as far as quick, no-cost replacements for items, and I have even them replace a fork that was mitred way too short in a very cost-effective manner. Remember your customer service potential when shopping for products.
I have always liked Profile products, and my particular favourite bar is the Aero Lite. If you are in the market for bars, forks, water bottle cages, or even bar tape (as I like their non-sticky tape better than Cinelli tape), buy Profile.
Here is the previous thread. I found the replacement Campy-10 shift ring and ordered one for myself, along with the UPS shifters. I am in the process of setting up a new bike, so don’t have many of the parts yet.
Ah Keith, so it can be run on Campag 10 speed then? Did you have to run in friction mode? IF so can you tell me where you got the shift ring please. This would run sweetly on a Kuota Kaliber!
The link to the website that sells the C-10 shift ring is in there. It would work in regular index mode. The company that sells them is in Canada, and be warned that the shipping/customs/brokerage fee was brutal ($15.80 Canadian) from Canada to USA, so your cost might be even higher to the UK. The shipping could be more than the part cost!!
