I got the Mavic Wintech with cadence a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. However, a few days ago the cadence magnet fell off as I have Ti spindled pedals (X-1) and the magnet doesn’t stick to that. I got another magnet that zip ties on, but I haven’t been able to get it to work.
Does anyone know if you need a special (read, powerful) magnet for this to work? What is the max distance from the sensor?

If it’s anything like the Polar wireless cadence sensor, it needs to be pretty close, but any magnet should work. I have the magnet from my computrainer stuck to the back of my FSA carbon crank with double sided tape, and it works for both the Computrainer and Polar sensors. I also find that it takes it a few seconds and revs to display the cadence, and it’s very finicky about positioning of the watch. Does yours work when you just wave the maget in front of it?
