Mavic Huez Shoes

Has anyone tried out the new Mavic Huez road shoes?

They are billed as the lightest shoes on the market (195 grams per shoe)

Mavic’s shoes are made by adidas (or, Mavic was making adidas’s shoes; one of the two). So if you’ve used the adidas shoes, you’d have a good idea of how the mavics would fit. By all accounts, good shoes if they fit your feet.

Mavic was making Adidas’ shoes and clothing line.

i just got a pair. I’ve only ridden in them a few times. they are very light. It appears they saved most of their weight by reducing materials in the upper, but you can still get a nice snug fit bc they have 3 straps. they are on the narrow side in the toe box. i found them to run about a 1/4 of a size long. another nice shoe (althought i havent tried it yet) is the DMT radials. they look really nice. light too, 240 or so but with a little more shoe to the upper. the mavics have alot of mesh to it. the top strap(closer to the ankle) is short, so if you are racing tries in these shoes, you will need to lengthen that strap a bit.

They are AMAZINGLY light. I played around with some in November and I described then as having an upper more like running shoes. There was a coupon for a free pair, up for sale in the classified a few months back, but they don’t make them big enough for guys with 48 feet, otherwise I would have snapped it up.

And yes, it is true what they say.
