Master's Swimming in Rochester, NY?

I will be in Rochester, NY this week and wanted to know if anyone on the board intends to swim on Wednesday (PM) or Thursday (AM or PM) w/ a group, Master’s, solo, etc…

I’m just inside of 3 weeks to Hawaii and would prefer to not miss my swim workouts on Wed & Thurs.

i live in rochester but haven’t swum since i usa. i can point you in the direction of my pool, though - it’s $5 for out of towners. i can get you in touch with a masters team too if you re interested. let me know.

How about Wednesday evening? There is no group so you’ll have to swim solo, but it will be free! Mail me at lbattaglia@bluefrog.com to hook up. As an added bonus, I’m old and slow, so you will feel like a million when you complete your workout!

Hi Brian;

Thurs at 6:00am to 7:30am theres a masters group (Mavericks) that swim at Monroe Comm. College (MCC). Just show-up and talk to Matt. Should be free if you’re a Masters member.

Wednesday I usually swim in the AM. There’s a pretty good group at the Webster Aquatic Centre. Starting at 6:00 am. This will cost you $5 to get in.

If you’re up for a group ride in the PM instead there’s a group of us that leave around 5:20 ish for around 35 miles.

Thanks for the info. I think I’m going to try get in w/ the Master’s group on Thurs morning (is there a specific area/pool to look for??). I won’t have my bike, but thanks for the offer.

Brian;

Go to the Brighton Campus off of East Henrietta Road. Drive all the way around Campus Drive to parking lot G . Lot should be empty except for swimmers’ cars. Pool is located in Building 10 (Driving into lot G Building on the far left).
