I would have a knife or razor blade to get tire off.
a tire iron to pry it off. That can be very hard if glued well .
And somthing to put air in, pump, ect
A Pre glued tire of your choice

You would trust pitstop in a IM
Not me
If I never changed a tubular. I wouldn’t race on them
This is a tough one…
My immediate reaction is WTF are you thinking? The axiom by which you (we all) should be living is: Nothing New on Race Day.
It would be so brilliant for you to race on clinchers 'cause then you’d know to bring (for IM) 2 tubes, 3 co2, a micro patch kit and a lever and you’d be supremely confident that you could pretty much handle a incident or two or even three.
If you’re racing (IM or 1/2) on sewups and you go with just the Pitt Stop (fantastic by the way) then you are only going to be able to solve a puncture and any other issues which might require a new tire will leaving you standing by the road side as your day ticks away.
If you’re racing (IM or 1/2) and you bring a Pitt Stop AND a spare tire then you’re in good shape - if you can change that tubular.
For me and for my athletes - they can race tubulars but they have to come and glue them up with me so that they know they can get 'em off and they have to prestretch and preglue the spare so they know they can get it on.
You’ve got to be confident in your equipment and to be able to solve the simple stuff on race day.
Can you call your wheel rental folk and switch to clinchers?

Did you put the tires on?..that really is all that you need to know.
Pre stretch a tire put some glue on it… attach to bike in case…
Don’t be freaked out…I would never race on clinchers.
don’t stress, it is not that hard, i had to change my first in a 1/2 IM race as i train on clinchers, as others have mentioned good to have:
a pre stretched and glued spare tire, only thing i would add is with a valve extendor teflon taped and screwed on your spare on so it can reach through your race rim (you can always unscrew the one off your current tire but without teflon it may not seal right and if you rip the tire off without unscrewing it first you might break it…ask me how i learned that:>)
a razor blade to cut the punctured tire so it is easier to pull off ( or to slit your wrists when you see the clock ticking away…kidding… just kidding)
2 C02’s and the attachment to inflate
I have never used the pitstop stuff but may carry a can for IMCDA this year, kinda like a secret can of whoop ass!!!
Enjoy the tubies!!!

+2
I am still training on the tubies I raced at vineman last year, on the roads and on my trainer, so they are taking a beating and I have had zero problems
just use the Pit stop, no worries.
I used tubulars (for the first time) in a HIM last year & was prepared to take the DNF if I flatted (although I carried Pit Stop). I played the odds but understood the risk.
Had the same option for my first IM last year and wasn’t willing to take the chance. Sure, I could have taken the time to learn how to change them, etc. but I took safe path since I wasn’t going to have another IM shot (for at least another year). Not the advice you’re looking for but believe me - I definitely would have lost sleep over using tubulars for that race.
It ain’t rocket science.
Find somebody local who uses tubulars regularly and is willing to let you help stretch/glue one. I train and race on tubulars quite a bit and I can change one pretty much as fast as a clincher. I had a flat Thursday night (we do loops on a bridge and there was a lot of glass; I got unlucky) and had it changed and was back doing loops within 5 minutes, no hurry.
I second the recommendation to pre-install your valve extender with teflon tape. I put these on at home and make sure I can pump up the tire with no extender leaks and no sticking presta valves.
