The cost is variable to the area in which you live. You’ll pay more in SoCal or NYC than here in rural Ontario.
First go to a registered massage therapist. In some areas anybody can call themself a masseuse whether they’ve taken a proper course or not.
I like getting a good massage but I prefer an RMT who does deep tissue work much more than the “light touch” type of massage.
I would say the going rate is $40-50 for a 1/2 hour, $75-80 for an hour. That’s why I feel so fortunate to have one that only charges me $50 per hour. Oh yeah, don’t forget the tip, usually around 20%.

I pay $65 an hour and she comes to my house in the evening. Works out great, my daughter goes to bed, and then I get a massage.
The last massage I got nearly cost me my marriage!

Depends on who’s giving it…
$60/hour seems to be average though a friend paid $3 for 3 hours in Taiwan… Once a week, 1-2 days after your toughest workout if you can afford it or at the end of a big block of training. Don’t go for a deep tissue massage a too close to a race.
I pay $30 for 30 minutes and I usually get a massage about once every 3 weeks, after a big, tough week of training, and a couple of days before a race. Well, that’s just what I do anyways.
