March of the penguins

Saw this over the weekend and really enjoyed it.

It follows the emperer penguins of antartica for one mating season. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. The weather conditions the camera crew put up with were unbelievable.

Not your typical animal documentary. Not very technical. Doesn’t try to explain why the birds do what they do, just tells the story of what they do.

I was thinking of taking my kids. Is it a film they would enjoy or do you think they’d be bored?

About 20% of the crowd when I saw it was kids. They seemed to enjoy it.

There are a couple of death scenes(no blood or violence). There are also a couple of scenes of predators(bird, leopard seal) attacking penguins.
