I’m a 2 time ironman with exercise induced asthma, living and training in Pittsburgh, PA for the Pittsburgh marathon - if it passes within 200 yds of your house, you’ve got to run it. The cold kills my lungs, so I try and cross train by running stairs. Last week I ran 2 vertical miles in a little over 4 hours.
Does anyone else run stairs to train? Any ideas on how well stair climbing translates to running?
