Male and female 'Zoot' triathlon suits(many sizes and colours)

Another person gave me their weight and what suit fits best:

68-70kgs and 5ft 10’’ and medium is the right size.

I wondered why the above guy kicked my butt on a 4 1/2 hr tough hilly ride recently. Wonder how he would go with a 18kg backpack on his back? Sure it would slow him up a bit.

if anyone else wants to post there size and what was agood fit I would appreciate it.

Thanks G.

Also have just now updated my site of what sizes/colours are still available.

What is the armpit to armpit measurement on a Large?

I’m 5’8" and 160 lbs (and dropping). What size would you suggest I try? I’d almost guess small but want to be sure since I will probably order a few. What colors are available in my size as well.

Thanks

I am 5’10" and 150 lbs. I got a medium, which fits larger than my previous trisuit, a Louis Garneau Medium.
The LG fits me like a glove. The Zoot is a bit large; we’ll see what happens once I get it wet. I don’t know the difference in size between Small and Medium, but if the difference is little, then maybe a size Small would have fit me better?

Got my suit in a week. Great service. Thanks, Grant.

MEN’S APPAREL

S Chest 36" - 38"(91-97cm) Waist is 30" - 32" (76-81cm)

M Chest is 38" - 40" (97-102cm) Waist is 32" - 34"(81-87cm)

L Chest is 40" - 42"(103-105cm) Waist is 34" - 36" (87-97cm)

XL Chest is 42" - 44"(107-112cm) Waist is 36" - 38" (91-102cm)

Does this answer the question? If no I will get a measuring tape onto it. There is alot of stretch in them and being sleeveless thie chest dimension has the most
lee-way of all.

There are 2 styles of tri-suits

Firstly the 6" leg suits or the:

this is the red/black and blue/white ones. They don’t vary in length much at all as you go from XL to S. There is only 2cms difference in length between the XL and the S suit. I was surprised when I measured them today.

The below refers to all the 8" leg suits.

Length wise the suits are about 1 cm shorter as you go from XL to L to M . There is about 6cms or so difference in overall length from the S to XL sizes.

When you go from M to S the length is shorter by about 2cm. So am picking you would need to be 5ft 9’’ or less in height to fit the small size suit(also weigh less than 160lbs).

Am working to get some other peoples weight/height and match it to tri-suit size and will post back on here when I get the info.

Actually, no I was hoping you would actually measure it unstretched. I’m 172 and about 6’1" and wear size 34 waist pants. I’m guessing that a 40-42 chest corresponds to 40" unstretched which might be a bit flappy for me.

Have been having a closer measure up of the suits today.

There is less difference in size between them all than I first thought.

Going by what I measured today I would say the small size will fit you well.

And below is some info I added to one of my earlier posts today:

The sizing chart refers to the stretched sizes(someone wearing them).

Have a read at what ‘Christian1’ wrote above in this thread. Can tell you he bought a red/black style tri-suit(in size medium as he says above).

Going by that I would definitely say the medium would fit well for you.

Guys, I just got my hands on the black/white one in a medium and it fits me quite well. Small or medium would fit me fine as the medium is comfortable but not loose anywhere.

Top notch kit no matter how you look at it! Thanks again Grant.

Thanks for the feedback from everyone above.

Have just updated the inventory(12/5/08) of tri-suits left on the first post on this thread and on my website. Only a few suits left now in some sizes.

The N.Z dollar is dropping a bit against the USA so the suits work out at about $65 USD including postage and packaging(P& P).

My wife placed our order last week.

Will report on fit when we get them in.

Thanks,
Jason

I just got my order (RED/BLACK). I am 6ft tall and weigh 165lbs (72KG) and the MEDIUM fits PERFECT!!!
I hope that helps some of you who are unsure of what size to get. I am long and lean. At times I race at 160 and the Medium will still fit even at that weight.

Got my order in 8 days. Grant was a fantastic seller. Thanks again Grant!

Jason thanks in advance, feedback is welcome.

And thanks for to the other people who have or do reply.

It looks like us triathletes come in all shapes and sizes.

Still have plenty of togs left in L and XL however in both black and blue.

Haven’t sold any tri-suits in the past week after selling about 20 in the month prior. Guess everone is kitted out now?

And only have 1 or 2 tri-suits left in some colours/sizes now.

And the number of tri-suits available is accurate for today, even though on the page link below it says last updated on the 12th May 2008.

Hope everyones training is going well.

Some more size feedback:

5’10", 170 lbs (~ 79kg) and medium in the 8" leg version was preferred by one customer.

However my mate in England who is 5ft 11" and 80kgs said the large in the 8" leg fitted like a glove.

Guess it depends how tight fitting individuals want them. The above indicates also probably one of the size/weight crossover points.

However for the price I would have thought they are pretty good for training suits in which case sqeezzing into them at raceday weight is less important?

The red/black and blue/white tri suits(6" legs) are constructed a bit lighter and tighter fitting than all the 8" leg ones.

So for hot conditions I wear the black/red(6"leg) tri-suit and in cooler races or cooler days of training I wear the blue/green (8" leg) tri-suit.

They are all made in the USA and are holding together well after alot of use.

Hey, I got my zootsuit tonight and am very happy with the quality for the price.

I am just over 6’ and weigh 170lbs. The large fits me perfectly above the waist. It fits snugly and wont catch the wind as my normal jerseys. However, it seems I lack the massive quads to get the leg grippers to fit tightly at the bottom so it rides up a little. The length is just right.

Thank You! Btw, great camerawork!

I am 5’10", 174 lbs, and the large was just a bit too big. Not really loose, but the legs bunched a bit (Black/white 8" leg version), and the top was snug but not tight.

Grant was very accommodating on the return, and I’m swapping the large for a medium. Big props to grant for nice communication and customer service!

John

Firstly thanks for your reply/feedback.

Up until recently I had only used the red/black(6’’ leg) tri-suit(size XL) but since I have plenty decided to use the other stlye(8’’ leg) tri-suits just recently.

Am just over 6ft and weigh about 88kgs(194lbs). Used both the XL and L in the 8’’ leg stlye. Both fit o.k but the L is actually a better fit.

I can’t fit into the large in the 6’’ leg style. That is, they are tighter fitting and to me they are are more of a sprint race suit style. Have kept a blue/white(6’’ leg) one in size large for myself and hopefully will get below 85kgs to squeeze into it for a raceday.

Didn’t read the instructions for washing and drying and put the XL tri-suit in a a hot tumble dryer. Shrunk it a little and it fits a bit tighter.

But don’t hot wash or hot dry the tri-suits if it is already tight fitting.

I just got mine yesterday. I am 6’4" and 170lbs. I bought the large and it fits great. I couldn’t ask for a better deal.

Thanks and good to hear the triathlon suit is to your liking.

If anyone who buys a suit is not happy with the fit then they can return it within 10 days. I will exchange it for the size they might prefer.

If you are unsure of the fit please ask.

There is plenty above but can say the 8" leg suits are much more generous in size than the 6" suits.

Thanks for looking.

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

I am only going to have the page up selling the tri-suits to the 10th June. They will come back on line for sale about 4 months after that so if you have been thinking about getting one, then don’t wait too long.
