I just found out that he will be speaking at a company meeting next week! I’m so excited! I loved the Tipping Point and Blink.
Who here has heard him or read his latest book Outliers?

I have read and enjoyed both Blink and Tipping Point, but I favored Blink. I have heard good things about Outliers and will eventually pick it up. That is pretty cool that you get to hear/see him speak!
Just finished The Tipping Point…
Just started Blink…
Outliers is on deck…
Enjoy the meeting!
Cool. I’m a big fan. I’ve read (and re-read) all three of his books and a lot of his articles.
He is as good a speaker as he is an author though at least when I saw him (earlier in his career, when Blink was just out, in a Borders), he seemed a bit timid for the first 10 minutes or so, after which he was tremendously engaging, you are lucky to be seeing him! Also, check out his New Yorker archive at gladwell.com some real gems in there.
My intro to Gladwell was on Outliers. I had heard of his other books, but did not pick him up until Outliers. I am working my way backwards. If Outliers is indicative of his work, I look forward to Blink and Tipping Point.
I found Outliers fascinating. The sections about when someone is born affecting their success, the 10000 hour success correlation, the Beatles and the genesis of Bill Gates were truly amazing stories to drive the points home. I was most enthralled with the chapter on the KIPP program - http://www.kipp.org/.
I highly recommend it, especially if you have read his other works - that is what my buddy said.
I found Outliers very underwhelming. It’s mostly a collection of anecdotes with little real sociological data, but maybe my expectations were too high. I bought the book after reading an interview with him in Macleans magazine, it sounded really interesting…but it didn’t deliver
