Making the most out of a trip to the mountains

This weekend I will be leaving for a two week vacation in the Adirondack’s. I will be hiking a lot but will also be bringing a bike. Living in Atlanta allows me few opportunities to ride big hills. I have trouble finding hills over 1k in length. I’ll be staying about a half hour away from Lake Placid (Keene Valley/St. Huberts) so I will probably do a loop of the IMLP course as well as any big climbs I can find.

Currently I’m only doing about 150 miles a week. Does anyone have advice on how much mileage and intensity I should really be doing? I want to enjoy the scenery but also get some good workouts! Is 250 miles a week too much? 350? I guess my legs will tell me but what do you think? Also, can anyone recommend some good rides?
