Personally, I like Macca, but I know he rubs a lot of you the wrong way. I think he shoots it pretty straight in this video, and I like his open plea for some fast rides in Kona this year.
Also, what do you think about the all white UA tri top he is wearing in the end?
Nice video, personally I like Macca and love his style, hope he wins in Kona again. On another note he looked a little thick for an elite tri guy, just saying
thats a good video. i think most triathletes that just see the nbc specials see this cocky macca, cause he appears that way in the specials. every other interview speaks differently tho

im guessing a new ironman kit. white would make him cooler slightly
I’m a huge Macca fan, and I know he likes to scan the “chats” so I’m writing this in the hopes that he reads it-
You’ve let Craig Alexander into your head. “If you want to beat that guy, you need to make him work on the bike.” You claim in that video that you feel that the athletes are too sensitive so hopefully you won’t let pride cloud the fact that you’ve let Crowie affect your mentality and just flush all that out and change your mentality.
In 2007, the bike was relatively easy for the top guys, and you put 3 minutes into Alexander! 3 minutes! Macca, you ran a 2:42! Do you know how many times Alexander has run a 2:42 in Kona??? Yeah, as many times as I have, never. But for one reason or another, you lost your mojo. I agree that in any other race in the world, if you get off the bike with Alexander, you’re probably going to lose. But you know better than anyone that Kona is different. I’d rather be the guy who did it than the guy who has to beat the guy who did it. If you and Alexander get off an easy bike together in Kona, all you have to do is something you’ve already done, the other has to do something he’s never done in his life to beat you.
There, now just follow the wheels and do what you did in 2007–lay down a 2:42 and if Crowie beats that, then God bless 'em.
It was cool to hear him talk about the different tactics used on different people. I really didn’t think it was that technical but he really seems to be a student of the game.
I really like the video…but I’m biased…I went to Auburn…
He ran past my freshman dorm, past Haley Center, on Mell Street, same places I ran when I was there. Spidle Hall is where most of my classes were! So I loved that part of it!
War Eagle! Macca, thanks for visiting the Loveliest Village on the Plains… we’re glad you liked it!
betting you didn’t get a Toomer’s Lemonade, kinda high in sugar, but definitely worth it occasionally!
