It is. Hopefully this is some consolation to Macca for coming up a close second at Kona. No disputing: The man had a phenomenal season.
I sure hope they give the ladies Triathlete of the Year to Lisa. If you look at her race results it is pretty amazing. I think that both are amazing athletes and are both very deserving.

well thankfully there isn’t or I’d have to counter your Lisa bid with Michellie’s amazing performance in Kona after such a short time racing long course, or Hillary Biscay, racing 6 ironman and placing top 5 in all 6!
But if you take her peformances over the year not just Hawaii like they did with Chris then she is a shoe in for number one. Michellie is great but Hawaii is not the only race on the calendar.

Macca let’s everyone know what he’s doing, thinking, etc. Michellie just gets it done.
One of thing I love about triathlon compared to just about every other pro sport is that women get almost as much attention when they deserve it – but not always!
FYI,Michellie is also receiving Triathlete of the year … Macca`s PR machine is in full swing and didnt really mention there is also a womans winner.
