Does anyone recall when this photo was taken (i.e. 2007 or 2008)? I seem to recall that his position changed slightly from 2007 to 2008? Did he drop the front?
Which race was it taken from? My guess would be that he won that race the previous year hence the race number 1. That should give you the year.
I remember finding it on the forum somewhere in another discussion thread which had him on the “red” Transition as well, just trying to find it again for comparison.

That was taken from Wildflower in 2008. The video of the bike fit shows them drop Macca’s front end, but I saw no difference in bike set up ongoing. He’s looked the same since he was on his Talon a few years back…shallow and high.
You could be right but I’m not sure-Macca wouldn’t have been #1 at Wildflower in 2008.
edit-the photo was taken at the 2008 Honu 70.3. Samantha McGlone was #1 in Wildflower in 2008, Macca did not race it in 2007. It’s too bad I’m engaged-girls would totally dig this type of knowledge.
You’re right. He was not wearing an aero helmet at Wildflower.
