What happened to him? Did he even start?
Ironmanlive must have been getting him mixed up with another athlete during their coverage. He had the fastest swim, sixth fastest bike, and fourth fastest run… and his name doesn’t get mentioned until the final results. He’s obviously in the mix all day long and we don’t hear about him until…

Great race and 09 season start. 1st swim, 4th fastest run. Not bad for a 40 year old. Hopefully he can keep it up this season and avoid injury to finish with a great result in Kona.
not sure if he will race at Kona this year, his website doesnt say and its hard to understand when you translate the page- but I do know he said this was going to be his farewell year of racing- but I do hope he races again- he needs to go out on top in Kona before he retires!
