Lucero vs. P3 SL

Currently riding a P3 SL. Can get a super deal on a QR Lucero. Should I upgrade to carbon, or stick with the SL?

You should get a life

If you take into account the money yoy will lose selling a perfectly good bike for no purpose other than a good deal on another, I would say that you are going to lose money.

What is the problem with the P3? If three is any - you should be able to rectify it for very little money.
The Lucero only comes in S,M,L - it might not even fit you anyway.

Pluto,
The Lucero comes actually in 5 sizes, XS and S 650c plus S, M, and L 700c.
Hope this finds you well.

What’s a poor boy to do?

I have to agree with you Pluto. And, without sounding negative KEEPTRIIN, unless money is not an issue, I’d stick with what I know works, i.e., your current ride.

I admit it…I too am human…Type A. Why not lust after something cool? I have to ask myself regularly though: is it an issue of eligibility or availability? Is the bike available? Sure…most are. But am I eligible for such a purchase? How much will it really improve my bike split?

I know that the latest widget won’t do it for me…just hours in the saddle. I’m happy to have arrived at that realization.

make sure the Lucero is steep enough for you, no flippable head so if ride >80 deg it might not work. If you can sell the P3sl for around the same price as the new Lucero it sure might be fun to check it out. I have a P3sl but the Lucero looks like a sweet bike as well.

It is not about looking sweet - it is about performance, injury prevnetion and results. What is the problem the Lucero solves?

If buying new I would prefer the Lucero.

Herbert, I was told by LBS those sizes when I was considering buying a frame 4 months ago, thanks for letting me know.

So you came onto a Cervelo dominate site and asked if you should sell your SL?

J/K

I want an SL and honestly I toss and turn over this same decision. The Lucero is the only other bike I would consider. My herniated back says go carbon, but my eyes glaze over when I see an SL.

Once you go “carbon” you’ll never go back.

If I may butcher a phrase.
