Lucero Questions

Fellow Lucero owners or those in the know,

I am in the process of setting up my new QR Lucero and have a few questions. First of all, the routing for the front derailleur sems to interfere with the function of my Dura Ace 7800 front derailleur, the cable rubs off the derailleur and there does not seem to be a way to modify the cable routing. Has anyone else experienced this and what have you done, if anything,to fix it?

Secondly, the cable for the rear deraulleir exits the chainstay just behind the front chainring for about 3 inches then goes back into the chainstay…for the exposed piece do you use cable housing there or just raw cable?

Lastly, my Lucero came with a Cane Creek IS6 headset, I have it installed and working properly but the gaps on top and bottom of the headtube seem bigger than they should be? Am I missing something in the setup here? Should the lower bearing race press down over the fork crown race?

Thanks in Advance

JP

  1. no. works fine

  2. use housing

  3. something is wrong…the gaps are about half a mm max.

Thanks Francois, I searched your old posts for pics of your Lucero and can kind of see that the gaps are much smaller than mine. I’ll have to figure out what is going on here.

JP

maybe it’s because my lucero is likely much smaller than yours
.

Mine is medium… the gaps just don’t look right at all but I can’t see how it will all fit together any other way.

can you post a pic?

I can take a pic and email it? I’m not sure how to post pics though.

go to www.photobucket and register.
then upload your photo to their site. use the first link below the photo,
copy paste, come back to slowtwitch, switch to advanced editor and click the little box which shows some mountain, it opens a box with http://
delete this and paste the url from photobucket.
post and it will magically appear…
if you use safari, mozilla, netscape, you can’t post, so then just email it to me.
