Before I make an expensive mistake I figured I would ask how to lower the seat on a 2014 P2? The only info I can find is on the older models so I am completely unsure if I need to be worried about torque when tightening? When I had the fit done it seemed he was just using an allen wrench.
It’s the same but remember the torque is the maximum you should apply. Start with a lower torque and only increase it if the seat slips.
Also use some friction paste to help lube the interface rather than a regular grease. it’ll help the seat tube ‘grab’ the seatpost with less torque.
Thanks, I was toying with giving it a shot with just an allen wrench but I’ll wait and borrow the proper tool tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip!
A torque wrench without knowledge can be dangerous. If in doubt bring it to the shop…
