Low drop shoe with good medial support

Currently running in saucony mirage and cortazas - really like the 4mm drop but would like more medial support for my long runs. I am guessing low drop shoes with additional medial support are rare but would be interested in any suggestions.
Thanks
Jack

Altra Running Provision 1.5 or Repetition are two of their zero drop, stability shoes. They also have a Stability Wedge to give extra support if needed.

Altras are good zero drops, I personally like the Torin the best. But it does lack some medial support. Try also brooks pure cadance

Adidas Adizero Tempo are faaaaairly low drop (about 10mm I think) but maybe not as little as you like, they are pretty lightweight too if that is on your shopping list. Brooks Pure Cadence are 5mm drop I think and a similar deal, pretty lightweight and reasonable support.

But I’m afraid I haven’t run in the Cortanas so it could be that they already have more support than my suggestions!

Pearl Izumi EM Road/Trail M2 & M3, Asics Gel Super J33, Asics Gel DS Racer 10, and Brooks PureCadence 3.

None of these shoes have a zero heel-to-toe drop but all are under 10mm of drop.

I’m running in the PI EM Road 3’s and like the dynamic offset - I feel it assists with midfoot striking.

Both of those shoes, to me, have decent medial support.

Honestly, and they are trendy right now, but trying a pair of Hokas might fit the bill. They are a similar ‘drop’ and have quite a bit of support due to their wide platform. If you are rotating through shoes for various workouts/uses, they might be good to add in there.

Check out Brooks Cadence. 4mm drop and some medial support, not much though if you’re looking for strong medial posting.

Did Brooks make the toe box on the new Pure line more narrow from the 1st gen?

I thought I read that. I bought few pair of the PureFlow (original) and love them, just trying to figure out next shoes.

Have been running (mostly) in the Brooks Pure Cadence 2’s the past two years. They fit the bill for drop/support…for me anyhow.

Going by feel, and not looking at the specs, YES. I loved my original PureFlows. The PureFlow2 is a comfy shoe that is my work horse, but the 1st gen was definitely much more comfortable and that’s partly due to the toe box. That said, I love the new PureConnect2 for fast work and racing.

I have a pair of Brooks Pure Flow 2 (4mm) that I do like, however, my all time favorite shoe is an Asics gel hyperspeed 5 (6mm). They are light, well-cushioned, fit me perfectly, and have an exceptionally roomy toe box. They’ve been discontinued for a year but show up on amazon/eBay from time-to-time.

I’ll second the Altra line up as I own the 3-sum and Torin, one for shorter distance and one for longer. To each their own but, my dollars will now go to that company.

There is a $94 Altra e-gift card for sale for $85 on a gift card resale site if anybody is interested in getting altra running shoes.

Newton stability models offer exactly what you are looking for. I alternate between Motion and Saucony Cortanas.

Picked up a pair of the Brooks Pure Cadence 2s and took them for a 9 miler this morning. Really like em. They have a similar feel to the saucony mirage but maybe just a little more medial support. Thanks for the recommendation
