hey ! trying to help a kid get started, anybody got any experience with Performance’s Tirrenno or Scattante bikes ? i don’t know of another option that could get him on Ultegra components for ~$1,000, just wondering what experiences you all might have had…thanks.
Hey Randy. Yes, I have a Scattante, which was my first road bike when I was getting into Tris. I still have it 4 years later and love it. I paid $950 for full Ultegra at the time. Three of my riding buddies bought the same bike when they saw mine and the value it has. It’s a great bike and I have not had a single issue with it. I bought it when it was owned by SuperGo, before Performance bought them and it was in my living room 3 days after I placed the order (from Michigan). Good luck!
