After my 3rd flat of the day at IMAZ (all caused my completely different pieces of glass / thorns) I pulled over on the Beeline, sat for about 25 minutes until a Black Doge truck pulled up, after being called to my location by an IM employee. Two guys got out with IM blue volunteer shirts and appeared to know the IM employee. One of them switched out my 808 with a Bontrager training wheel. Then took down my name and number.
After talking to just about every IM employee I could find post race and on Monday am, including the guys at Race Day Wheels, I still have no idea where my front wheel is.
If you were the guy who switched wheels for me, please email (pat@qt2systems.com) me so we can swap wheels back once I get it from TriBike.
Pat, hope you find your wheel soon, bummer about the multiple flats. My friend broke two spokes at separate times and then flatted and ended up DNFing.
Any chance that Tribike Transport went ahead and swapped the wheel back out? They might have contacted the neutral support after the race and cross referenced their list of bikes with wheel exchanges.
While using the athlete tracker, I first thought the mile markers were all off. Athletes were going 12 mph on one segment, and 28mph on another!
I was barely able to maintain 10mph on the outbound portion of the Beeline for laps 2 and 3, but of course that meant softpedaling at 25-30mph on the return trip.
