Lori Bowden's Shoelaces

I was watching the IM Kona race again this morning and just as Lori is catching up to Nina, the camera pans down to Lori’s feet. Her shoelaces are not only untied but they’re completely frayed as if they’re 8 years old and been dragging on the ground awhile.

I’m suprised she doesn’t wear a lacing system but at least double tie the knot in transition. Tripping and falling into an aid station would be an embarassing way to end your IM.

also surprised…it sucks to have untied shoes . i got nasty blisters and destroyed feet from running in untied shoes my first triathlon…have since learned my lessons…

She need not race like that! I’d be more than happy to tie her shoelaces for her.
