Looking for quick ST advice -- knee swelling

Kind of a pathetic story here. I’m in the final countdown into my A race. This weekend I do a sprint tri followed by an Olympic (A) the following week. My knee is not swollen from biking or running. Its swollen from sitting at my desk wrong. Good grief. Basically, I was in a conference call at work. Things were intense and I was typing at my comptuer. My left leg was kind of folded up under me and twisted a bit. Well, after an I hour I moved my leg and it hurt like crazy. I didn’t think anything of it – if my knee sits at an acute angle for >1 hour I get some stiffness. Anyway, I also fell asleep last night watching MNF with my knee, once again, bent at an acute angle. Woke up this AM – knee is swollen! How swollen? Well, you would notice it easily, but you wouldn’t say “wow, that is swollen”. It would be more like…“yeah, I see it now,that is a little swollen”. 1/8 to 1/5 cup of total extra fluid? I tried to get a photo here, but I’d have to get it online first. =(

Anyway… I’m doing RICE. I’m even popping Advils here and there. No workouts today so far.

What do I want? Any STers that have experience with this kind of thing – whatever advice you think is important to give me
