Looking for Historical IMMD and IMNC Resutls

ST -

Struggling to find 2012 - 2015 IMMD & IMNC results. Reached out to IM, but no response. Welcome any suggestions as to where I might find these results. (A searchable format would be great.).

Thanks.

That’s probably because those races didn’t exist during those years. It wasn’t called IMMD or iMNC in those years. The competition was different. The race was much smaller.

Have you tried searching for Beach2Battleship or ChesapeakeMan?

IMNC is here, it used to be called Beach2Battleship when it was an independent race.

Try this site for Chesapeakeman:

Unfortunately the original web site of the company that ran it (Tri Columbia) is gone.

IMMD didnt come into existence until 2014. Prior to that it was an independent race called Chesapeake man. IMNC was also an independent race called Beach2battleship through 2015.

This is a pretty cool site I found. It’s not going to have the non Ironman races but you can see Maryland from 14-16.

Also remember that IMMD 2015 had a shortened swim after being postponed for two weeks. The field that year was a little bit softer due to the date change, and the swim times are going to look too fast due to the short course.

IMMD 2016 had no swim at all and only a 100 mile bike, along with some really strange run conditions (flooding) depending on the time of day the person was running.

Results from those years are going to be hard to interpret.

And 2014 was very hot so the results from that year will seem slower than what that course should yield on a normal day. Tough breaks - its a fantastic area for triathlon with relatively quite and flat roads, its just at the wrong time of year to have any consistent weather.

Athlinks has the results.

I have to admit that this thread saddens me a bit. Just the thought that these races weren’t on people’s radar before they became IM. As if they didn’t exist before, except they most certainly did just under other names.

I did B2B last year and loved it. Excellent race. Planned to do it again as my fall race, but then IM bought it, doubled the price and only gave it 30 Kona slots. I figured I wasn’t going to waste my time.

I was planning on doing Chesapeakeman in 2013 as my first full but strange life things got in the way and I ended up at an IM event for my first anyway. Then the race became IM before I could go do it.

Of my 6 IM’s 3 have been non-WTC. Admittedly I did do IMMD this year, but that was more a matter of convenient location and time of year (same reason I planned to do it as Chesapeakeman).

agreed…Chessie was a unique race opportunity with a sprint, half, aquavelo, and full.

I’m only doing the half but have wondered how much faster it will be than last year. I tried to look at some similar 70.3 courses to get an idea but I don’t have a ton of course knowledge to compare it to.

I just reread my Race Report temperature was listed as 78
