A guy here is selling a set in the classifieds.
I’ve got a set of Origin8 155mm cranks for sale if you’re interested. Here a link to the post: http://forum.slowtwitch.com/gforum.cgi?post=4893515
Rotor also makes 155
.
I got 150s from this guy.
I then looked around for a slightly used compact crank that he could fabricate into 145s. Dropped it off when I was in in MN and picked it up.
Inexpensive way to try shorter crank arms.
Not to hijack, but what was your progression like down to 155mm? I broke my Powercranks yesterday mid-ride and had to set them at 110 to get home. It really opened my eyes back up to experiment further down from the 162.5 I am on.
I got some Cobb 145’s for my race bike to replace my 165’s. Seem to work well so far, just a faster cadence to keep a similar power output. However, I’m short: 5’6", with short legs, so the new crank is more comfortable. My hip angle is more open - no more interference between upper leg and abdomen. In order to keep the same “feel” while riding indoors, I had to do some mods to my dedicated trainer bike (A 1980’s vintage VITUS, which I don’t trust to not fall apart if ridden on the road - it’s made with glued together aluminum tubes)
A little machining work and you have a two position crank (170mm and 145mm). A lot cheaper than $300 for another crank…
BTW: put the 165mm FSA SLK’s on my road bike to replace the original 170mm Gossamers.
Note this mod won’t work on either an FSA SLK or Gossamer because the SLK is carbon and the Gossamer is hollowed out on it’s inner side.

I have a set of SINZ ISIS 145mm set without rings. I would let them go for $40 shipped if you are interested.

what was your progression like down to 155mm?
Not the OP, but I dropped 22mm and there was basically no time needed to adapt… they felt better right away and no power loss. I do most riding on the road bike with long cranks and switching back and forth isn’t a problem. Might not be ideal though. But the way I look at it is everything is so different in the aero position anyway… having the same crank length doesn’t make it the same.
