It has been a long time since I have been on ST and now I am looking for some help. In December I was told I had ITBS and went through 3 months of physical therapy, complete rest, and have not seen any improvement. Now a total of six months later I have been X rayed and had a MRI and my doctor said he hasn’t currently been able to locate an ortho that does the IT band release surgery. I am looking for a surgeon in KY or the Cincinnati area, any recommendations?

Assuming you’re in the Louisville area, I would make the 5 hour drive down to Vanderbilt or Martin, TN, to see Dr. Kurt Spindler. He did my ACL and meniscus repair back in 2000, and I’ve had good results with his procedure. He’s also an all-around nice guy.
