I’m looking for a professional bike fitter in the Toronto area that will help me with a pain in the upper shoulder and down the triceps of my right arm. Pain is made worse when riding aero, on long rides it gets so painful I have a hard time staying focused. I worry about training and doing long-term nerve damage. I am wondering if a professional bike fit will relieve the pain and address the cause of the pain.
I had my bike fit at Enduro Sport last year and I was pretty happy with the result. I do not remeber now the guy’s name, but he seemed very knowledgeable and helpfull.

I’ve gone to 3 different fitters in southern ont, 2 in toronto.
The only one that got it right - for me - was some dude here:

I almost couldn’t believe how comfortable he got me - I didn’t have to adjust at all.
If you are in the west end, Scott Doel at Gears is excellent ( provided me with an suberb tribike fit) and/or JP at Via Ciclante ( also a perfectionist about his fitting - got my road fitting there). I would recomend either of them
Endurosport.
I have the same pain, if you find a good fitter, please let me know.
I’ve tried a couple with no luck.
I got a fit done at Gears tonight and while I’ll have to see how it feels out on the road, I didn’t have any knee pain in the shop and am pretty happy.
Plus he noticed that there was something off with the front of my bike and got the mechanics to take a look at it, and they both agreed that there is something broken in the headset. So now that can get fixed (and maybe is why my front wheel shudders when I brake, which makes me nervous).

haven’t been there myself, but a friend was fit their and said they were awesome and made a world of difference in their comfort.
i got my bike and fit at endurosport and was happy with the service.
I would say Enduro if you live in the East end, Gears (Scott) if you live in the west. The one thing that I found is that some therapy to resolve some of the postural inbalance/strain that has resulted from a bad fit or just a lot of time on the bike. Check out www.bayviewchiropractic.com for some ART soft-tissue therapy. Dr. Tim is a triathlete, so understands the stuff you go through and how to fix it.
+1 for La Bicicletta. Heath does a great job.
