I’m mulling over the idea of buying a new road frame. I’ve been riding an aluminum Giant TCR2 for 6 or 7 years, and I’m ready for a change. I know that the first step is fit, but that aside, I’m trying to decide on material. I think I’m ready to move away from Aluminum, so I’m basically choosing between Ti and CF. My concerns with CF are the obvious ones, basically maintenance and potential for damage. I haven’t ridden Ti, so I’m not sure how it feels. Without starting a Ti v CF war, I’m looking for some pros and cons from people who have ridden either or, preferably, both. I mostly put in training miles right now, no racing on this bike. Roads are ok, not super rough, not super hilly. I’m not overly sensitive to the bumps and vibrations, but I’ve only ridden Al, so maybe I don’t know what I’m missing with a softer ride.
