Looking for a bike tour or training camp in Spring 2007

Any suggestions for a good supported bike tour and/or training camps in the south or southwest between March and May? Probably looking for something 4-5 days, with (at least) sag support and hotel/motel stays. Not really looking for something high-end (ie, Backroads, VBT). Mostly interested in a vacation with biking and training opportunity but not necessarily hard-core all-training week.

Thanks!

Check out Brian’s training camp in Tucson. I will be there (wow big draw) but so will Jonnyo (super-star pro who knows all the secrets about all Canadian pros) and maybe some other surprise guests.

It’s March 4-11 and ends with a sweet sprint triathlon where you get to try and “beat the boss”. I think Brian agreed to hand out $5 bills to anyone who beats him off the bike!!!

I run a training camp in Spain from 2/10-2/19, but its full this year. If you are still interested next year contact me. Its very good and very affordable. Go to www.johnhirsch.org and click the link Spain 2007 for more details.

Cheers,

John

Why not just follow the Tour de Georgia? You can ride every stage as part of a supported ride. There are many options for rides during the tour. Personally, I would just stay in Helen GA and ride up Hogpen Gap and Brasstown Bald. Many other good rides in the area. Then kick back and watch the tour go by.

Mike

do you have a link for that or is it just understood? Do you know if there is a fee?

Thanks,
Dan

Have you looked into any of the tours by the Adventure cycling association?
