Look pedals (1)

A friend wants to get clippless pedals. I have the old looks. Are they being phased out? Would she be better with the new keo ones?

No reason to not ride the older ones - the cleats are still very available.

She has toe clips now. Would you buy the old style or go with the new ones?

We still have Delta Cleats but are only making the KEO Pedals now
.

You could always have your friend try the Looks before investing in newer pedals. I think the old cleats will be around for quite some time, as there were so many old Delta Look pedals (and their clones) made between 1984 and 2000 (or something like that).

They are great to learn clipless on. I see no reason to waste an old pair of pedals.

We need to remember that Lance was on a Shimano (Look) pedal with no float right till the bitter end…

That is Lance-a-lishious.

Why yes he was. He didn’t even get into the Shi(t)mano pedal designed for him, if I recall correctly.

Lance is a super hero!!!

Buy the Keos. It will get harder and harder to get all the different types of cleats for the old ones. You may not want whatever standard stays on the market longest. There’s nothing wrong with either one and the Keos are lighter.
