Look KEO Classic vs. Sprint vs. Carbon

While maybe not very noticeable, one should consider the importance of the weight and were it is. If there are places on a bike that you should be most concerned with weight, it is on rotating mass. If the question is keep your Dura Ace breaks or get some KCNC’s, it is probably easier to lose .3 lbs then spend the money. Similar to coversations regarding wheels, rotating weight (especially on long rides) is important to consider when thinking about pedals. Let’s say you are doing a full IM, that could easily be 32,000+ turns of the pedals. I think pedal and shoe weights are often overlooked as an important consideration. Unlike wheels, inertia isn’t so much a factor with the pedal stroke, so weight can be more of a performance factor. Using a car analogy, a car might be rated at 400hp, but only 350hp at the wheels. Friction and rotating weight tend to be major factors. Two major concerns for performance should be transfering as much power to the wheels (light cranks/pedals/shoes, stiff soles, low friction from quality and maintained parts) and minimizing forward resistance (aero bike/wheels/clothes/position, etc). All that said, I would check out Ebay for a good deal on the Ti HM’s.
