Long Ride Brick Advice

If you had a 100 mile + 7 mile brick scheduled for this weekend and it is supposed to be 94 degrees would you rest after the bike and get the run in later in the evening when it cools off? I’m worried that I’m defeating the purpose for a long ride + brick for my IMMoo prep, but running in 90+ weather after a century is getting me somewhat bugged out.

Peace,
Rob

Sounds like good practice for what you’re in store for.

What if it’s 95 or so during IMMoo? Just make sure you have plenty of fluids and are up to snuff on your nutrition. I did something very similar last weekend.

Just to reinforce what has already been mentioned. What if it is 90+ @ IMMoo when you start the marathon?

During IMLP this year it was probably around 80+ and sunny when folks started the marathon … People were complaining it was hot… I was fine… since I ended up doing several runs in 90+ weather before…

Cheers,
Fred.
