Alright Ben, just calm down. First of all, someone has to find out who broke the darn thing. And then, someone has to figure out if it can be put back together again.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves and start panicking too soon. Then again, it might be the smart thing to do in order to beat the rush later.

That’s a funny thread…I think you have to look for things in the logo, oops, sorry - “brand”, as it’s an absolute piece of crap in itself
.

I think I see an “act” involving jellied eels. Eewww.

Whoa! I’m trippin’ man.

I think you just invented ky jellied eels…

Good thing you didn’t see the animated version (especially if you were epileptic):

.

Oh, that’s vile.

I’m speechless. No, wait…here’s a word. Catastrophuck.

If that garbage makes it to production, I’ll eat the inserts from every pair of running shoes I own. No way that sells.

The Chicago logo: meh. Nice skyline - if it was Nashville. The city reflecting on the lake combined to make a torch, great idea - at least they put some thought into it. Overall nice design, but not worthy of olympic status.

london’s getting an abstract blowjob?

The one on the right is Lisa Simpson.

Someone saw a connection here (I have no clue what this is):

Same font?

“Could we have F**ked this up anymore than the fact that the animated version of it has caused epileptic seizures in people that have viewed it?”

If that is true I change my view that it looks like shit to it being fucking cool!

A London 2012 spokesman told BBC Sport: "The emblem is flexible and will evolve over the next five years.
"Our emblem needs to be modern, bold, flexible and as relevant today as in five years’ time.
"We want our Games to be different. We are hosting them in a different era, in 2012.
“The emblem needs to work across new platforms that reach young people.”

I think what he’s saying is that the logo is supposed to be hip and edgy.

I hope there was a crowd throwing rotten tomatos at him.**

The Mayor of London has now weighed in with the suggestion that the designers shouldn’t be paid after the animated thing had to be withdrawn after not testing it against the relevant standards and giving epileptics seizures.

I still think that they shouldn’t be paid for being utterly talentless…that must have been a bad brainstorming day when that was the best idea.

Tiswas was a kids Saturday morning TV programme back in the 80’s in the UK. It was watched by more Dads than kids because one of the female hosts was always scantilly dressed. It was a pretty anarchic show which the kids just loved. The Country was split in half based on what you watched on a Saturday morning. Tiswas or Swapshop. I was a Tiswas kid and proud to admit it.

You’ve got a tough act to follow Andrew. I genuinely hope you guys can pull it off!

The problem is with the selection committee. Clearly there weren’t any people with taste.

I actually really like it. Simple, easy to recognize, will look great on all types of stuff from t-shirts to brochures. I think most logos are overly complex, people try to cram too much into them. This is pretty clean.

I’m firmly convinced that alcohol was involved…
