Looking to buy a treadmill this winter. Are the livestrong ones any good? Any other recommendations?
The Curve is pretty pimp. We have a few at work and they do give you a better workout than standard tradmills. The downside is they are made pretty much only for the military, and so they cost a million dollars, more or less.
Does it move harder? It might last longer, and have more features, but how on earth can it give a better workout, unless maybe it injects you with epo?

Never buy a new TM. So many people are selling theirs with almost no use at cheap prices. Buy one of those.
I had a live strong 12.9 and had no issues with it. My
Only complaint is that it was a little squeaky. Did speed work on it at
Sub 6 pace and long mp runs at around 6:45 without problems. The CS was good too when I got too much dust in the optical speed sensor and it was having problems
But this is ST so the correct answer is buy a used woodway
There is no motor so technically you could say it has less features as you don’t program speed, etc. You move, it moves. You don’t move, it doesn’t move. I believe that is what was meant by ‘harder’.
I have run on one and it is certainly a different experience. I am not sure I would want it as my permanent treadmill.
Well if you want a different recommendation sooner or later somebody will bring up the Sole F80. I have one myself and we have one at work, they are very good and highly recommended. Vast majority of owners are very happy with it.

Ha, no kidding. Quoted for truth…
Ah, I see.
No problems with mine for 4 years now. Two runners in the house, and mine has seen several 100 mile weeks between the two of us. Goes sub-6 pace, and is durable and quiet (as far as treadmills goes anyways).
Does anyone notice a difference between a 55 and 60" deck?
I have a Livestrong treadmill with a 55 inch deck, but I also often run on 60 inch decks at the gym.
Never had an issue with the 55 incher, and I’m a little over 6’4" as a point of reference, so my stride is fairly lengthy.
I had a Greg LeMond treadmill once but found it to be too whiny. Then when I tried to
ignore it it just got louder and louder. Damndest thing I’ve ever seen.

They’re pretty good. Just make sure it isn’t missing a nut.
Took me a while to catch on. Pretty funny ![]()

Yeah, I liked that one ![]()
I have a Livestrong one at home for the family, used a fair bit between the Mrs. and kids (cross country runners). Not one issue, so durable and fairly quiet. My only issue is that the speed isn’t fast to respond up or down when doing intervals. Has a 60" deck. I use a Sole F80 at work as a spare and also good (for the money)

This. Post on facebook. I got one for free. It’s cheap, but I beat the hell out of it and it just keeps going. Had it for 3 years now. You can get them super cheap.
