she clearly knew about morph bars, the hesitation was probably wanting to mention it but not make an unofficial plug
These commentators have shocking knowledge… just royally messed up with the Morf bars. “I was going to ask you to explain… no go on, you explain it”

Matt Lieto is still sooo sooo bitter still.
Backstory, Matt has hated me every since Leadmen Bend in 2012. If anyone remembers that race it was a first-year race and a complete cluster being so cold in the morning and not having volunteers at the very sparse aid station. Bike was like ~145 miles with multiples runs up Mount Bachelor. They had 1 aid station on Mount Bachelor and I think there was one more aid station before riding back into Bend (like another 35-40 miles IRRC, but all downhill from top of Bachelor).
It was one of the races where you very rarely even saw a fellow pro but I was making my way up Mount Bachelor the second time and I had caught Matt Lieto and another athlete (I think Karl Bordine IRRC) and Matt said something like… “we just started riding together”. Like I was going to call him out for tag-teaming anyway, I could care less. Anyway we crusted this little section and there is a short downhill with an aid station at the bottom. I was 3rd wheel obviously as I am the smaller rider for the descent section. Anyway, at the bottom there is an aid station before starting the next section of the climb. I noticed only 1 volunteer so I did what any pro with some sort of situational awareness would do, sprint around Matt Lieto, and grab the bottle. I actually looked behind me to see if Matt got a bottle in time, and nope, he missed it. I knew without a bottled he was done. Given how sparse the aid stations were and it was actually heating up quite nicely. Needless to say I cruised to a 3rd past podium and congratulated every pro finisher in a hometown race Matt so wanted to be on the podium for. Off course when Matt crossed he was super salty, he had to say something like, ~“Just to let you know that was a real a dick move.” I was thinking when I said that, Matt would be one of the only people to say anything, his brother Chris would have probably complimented me on the heads-up situational awareness.
Over the years, Matt just can’t shake it and continues to take low-blows on Ironman TV. He was pretty critical during the 2013 Ironman Kona broadcast when I ran with Joyce for like 10 miles side-by-side. I mean I should probably email Ironman about it in the day of cancel culture. It is obvious that Matt is still salty.
