it really depends on the kid (is it a kid?)
if an active kid - definitely the first - that bear is lithe and great to carry around the house - that bear could run a decent 10K any given day of the year even without training
if the kid is fat or overly emotional, get the second - You also send the message it’s OK to be fat and high maintenance
if it’s a girl friend or sweetheart - go with the second - it says you are cuddly - if it’s for your Mom - get the second.
You showed us a pix on your new grand kid - yes? If for your grand kid get the top bear - - that second one will sit on a shelf - the top one will go on great adventures with a great kid.
