So I live in florida and who knows when it’s gonna rain. I use a nano the old clip on kind and clip it to my bib short strap. Well on a ride I got caught in a big storm and my iPod was getting a little dam. So I pulled over to throw it in to my bike bag with my flat kit. But wait my flat kit was not there I must of forgot to put it back on after taking my bike to the shop. So quick thinking I dumped out one of my water bottles and tossed it in there. So if anyone is caught in a storm and have a small electronic non water proof device this could save your item.
Or buy a water proof ipod and not worry about rain.
This is why I keep my flat kit in a water bottle in the first place (plus it’s easy to move between bikes that way).

^^^^This^^^^ Why Ipods aren’t water…AT LEAST sweat resistant already is beyond me. I went through a number of those damn things killing them just from my sweat. Once I bought a Waterfi, its been solid.
Or just switch it off, lets it get soaked and then dully dry it before switching back on…
Mine has been through the washing machine and still works… yes i was somewhat surprised…
