List of triathlons where we could get a slot through lottery?

Hello,

Are you aware of any link showing up the list of triathlons where we could get a slot through lottery? Nautica, Kona, Alcatraz, etc.

i don’t think you get a ‘slot through lottery’ AT events? i think you sign up for the lottery. and i think you EARN a slot at Ironman events. not sure if there are NON-WTC events that offer slots anymore.

There are lottery slots for Kona and Alcatraz. Go to their websites and you will find information regarding the process. Alcatraz costs nothing to enter the lottery and it seems like lots of people get in. Kona will cost you to enter the lottery and few get in.

I guess I don’t understand the question. There are a few races that have a lottery that the winners are then allowed to purchase entry like Kona and Alcatraz. Do you want a list of all the oversubscribed races that have such lotteries? The only other one I can think of is Norseman.

Or are you looking for races that have a lottery to get a free entry into that race?

Yes - but not only free. Im thinking about Kona where you can enter through the lottery and then pay the subscription fees. Same for Alcatraz.

Pretty sure he’s talking about races that require a lottery system to gain entry (aside from qualifying?). Kona, Alcatraz, apparently Norseman, NYC Marathon… others?
