“Ironman triathlete Lionel Sanders has been found guilty of stealing the city of Windsor, Ontario’s iconic “The Place to Be” roadside sign. Sanders reportedly used a ladder and crowbar to remove the sign from the city limits. This sign has been the topic of debate as of late, as it has been targeted by graffiti artists. Sanders has been using the venerable sign as a prop on his Youtube channel for the last several months. Facing fines and 3-5 years in jail for his crime, Sanders has reportedly announced his immediate retirement from triathlon. Court sentencing has been scheduled for Friday, Aug. 2nd where Sanders and his accomplice “Talbert Cox” from Oklahoma will stand trial.”
