Thinking about getting a clip on for my road bike.
Anyone know the lightest one out there?
The little Visions are actually pretty heavy it seems.
thanks

HED Flip Lite model is definitely what you want. The pads flip up and the entire setup can be had under 300 grams.
Chris
HED flip-lites for sure. With Ti hardware and extensions cut to size, I have mine down to around 290g for the complete set.
If you’re looking for absolute/price not a factor light… Schmolkes for sure!
I would think its the Xentis X! using the aero clamp or the USE Boost bar clip-ons.

450 euro’s for some clip on aerobars that are only 195g is a sweet deal.

I also think that the USE are heavier or about the same but the way the pads are mounted means that you get a higher elbow pad which is not ideal for a road bike set up and the HED ones are about the lowest you can get and when matched up with the Oval carbon armrests, are even lower.
I guess it depends as well on how long they need to be on your road bike. I had shortie straight extensions on there with the ti bolts and I think they were down to about 274g.
I am going to maybe fool around with a few ideas in the new few weeks and think that I can get an ITU set up with armrest pads down to around 220g.
That being said, I think it would be even better if HED integrated the armrest pad mounting piece into the armrest cups to make them lighter and lower still.
Awesome; I use the hed’s already.
The USE is awesome!
